If you’ve never been to a Chappo show, you should definitely try to go to one. I hadn’t heard of the band before the show, but I had heard good things and the talk didn’t do them justice! The band’s album release party for Moonwater was so theatrical–full of balloons, glow sticks, confetti, and glitter along with really excellent music and a high-energy stage presence. Motive and Modern Rivals didn’t disappoint at all either. Motive did an awesome acoustic set with candles lining the stage and Modern Rivals have been stuck in my head since the show–plus you can download both of Modern Rivals’ EPs for free on Bandcamp. Overall, really great performances from all three bands, and I think the gallery below will attest to that. May have went a little overboard with my camera, but every time I put it down, something else interesting happened.
